mandc_library is a comprehensive listing (well, almost comprehensive :-) of Aubreyad fic. That's right, pointers to all the fic in the fandom available at one place! (It's lovely what you can do in a small fandom, isn't it? :-) Currently updated only on LJ right now. I am acting as the librarian, and I need to update the listings with all the fabulous fic from Advent and ongoing, then we can bring it all here to DW yay! In the meantime, if you are newcomer to Aubreyad fandom, check out mandc_library and find all kinds of amazing fic :D
Finally, I will give a nod to

*I don't know any of the Sherlock comms on DW. If anyone wants to point me to a good one, I am open to suggestions :-)
Day 7: Life Outside Fandom
Most of you know I am a parent to two very active school-aged boys, who keep me busy. My husband and I adopted them about six years ago, when they were 3 and 5. Before that we were foster parents for about three years. So I consider my profession to be "foster/adoptive parent". It's a very specialised calling. You have no idea until you get into it. No idea.
For years I enjoyed quilting, but that involves too many pins and needles and scissors left about to do while the boys are around (which is all the time). So recently I took up knitting, actually because my nine-year-old wanted to learn it. It's been fun! Knitting needles are too blunt to do any real damage with, unless you try really really hard. Which my sons have found out. By trying really really hard *g*

Date: 2013-01-08 02:55 am (UTC)I am new to it, but enjoying it a lot. I know a teeny-tiny bit of knitting. I haven't tried it in years, but I remember it being very relaxing and satisfying.

Date: 2013-01-08 11:12 pm (UTC)Not likely to work on the onesie anytime soon, 'm afraid. Not that skilled, to do anything complicated. Not quite insane enough either, to spend my time like that. Maybe if someone commissioned me to... *g*
