<.< Ummm... I dunno. I tried not to keep track :-) I justified everything by saying I'll use it up on another project (I'm a scrap quilter). Am already at work on another Aubreyad quilt and planning a third.
I once tried to get samples of fabric for doll clothes... Couldn't find anything, or if too expensive.
I'd recommend going to a Joanne's or other fabric store. Even a Walmart if nothing else around.
Also many quilt stores will sell scraps by the bag or weight - limited selection of scraps, of course.
The only online site I know that ships samples is Spoohflower, because they are about people uploading their own prints. It is $5 for an 8" square. But not the thing for doll's clothes, I don't think. You need to find a shop in person for that, I'm afraid. Or browse Etsy or some other craft-doll specialty site.
How look did it take to cut it all out Not long. There were only two shapes - the squares and the trapezoids. Making the selections and deciding where to put what was the hard part :-)
For this design you need dark along the bottom and light along the side, so that limited my options.
and most important question of all: how did you sew it together so accurately? Is there a trick???
I hand sew, so when I come to a corner I just make sure all the fabrics come together at the right place. It's not hard. A bit time-consuming, but I do it when I'm watching the kids or at their appointments or sports or whatever.
I had to giggle about the 'non-sloth fabric' :) But find it you did!
IT WAS HARD! Even that one piece in the upper corner - I bought a half-yard of that and got only TWO sloths!!!
The other sloth fabric - the Amazon one - was from Spoonflower, so PRICY! I must have bought a fat quarter of it, for $12, I think? Ridiculous! Sloths are adorable! We need more fabric with sloths! :D
